Fun ISO - Tyrael's Might

[:1]So I like collecting cool uniques (have Lightsabre and Azurewrath in my stash and hoping that one day my barb will dual wield them both haha!), and I haven't found a Tyrael's yet...

Has anyone found one and kept it around, and wouldn't mind trading it away? I have no idea what a reasonable price for it is, but if it's in the mid-runes range, I'd like to buy one before the ladder season ends.

Thanks!|||It's not mid-rune range. It's 2-4 hrs for most stat variations. If the res/str are both perfect, you can expect to pay 20+ hrs. The more perfect everything gets, it can go anywhere from 20-150 hrs.

Price will likely go up as rune prices continue to tank as ladder ends.

I got mine for my melee sorc earlier this season

I haven't seen anyone ISO or selling it at all in the past month that I've been looking at trading channels and games, so I had no idea.|||That's because this thing is bloody rare. There is no unique in the game that is rarer.

It's also not very useful to most builds. A melee sorc is about the best build for this armor. Even then, it's not the best for that build - missing ias and +skills would have been nice.

I suppose there's a configuration where you get 25% ias from passion, 25% ias from ik gloves+boots combo and 15% ias from a jewel in tyreals. That's about the best you can do really. It would probably work for pvm, but you'd be missing ~30% fhr and have to make it up via charms. So tyreal's might only allows for the second best configuration.

The best configuration for a melee sorc is a 4os magic armor with either 91-100 life or 24fhr with two 15ias/15@res jewels, the best 7fhr/x/y/z jewel and a Cham.

Because of this fact, a lot of people don't use tyreal's.|||here's an armor that I use to replace tyreal's. It gets rid of the mods that are not useful in pvp and adds the extra fhr that tyreal's lacks. It's the ultimate armor because you can free up a lot of charms for attack rating, max damage and life that would otherwise have to go towards fhr.

The reason is that melee sorcs need resists and Cannot Be Frozen. Str is also a nice asset too, and the no requirements is equally nice. You generally want to build your melee sorc with very low strength because you have a lot of points to spread around for max block and vitality. Melee sorcs use angelic rings, so you can't make room for a raven frost - so the "cannot be frozen" mod is critical on the armor - that's the only spot available for it as passion and 2 dreams take up your weapon, helmet and shield spots.

Even so, even as a collector item/trophy/vanity item, it is still quite expensive as you can see.|||Yeah the item kinda sucks honestly. But when so few of them are around the price is controlled by the few sellers who deem it "worth" 2-4 HR.

I actually think the market value is more like 1 HR if you're patient on Battle.net. Generally if you're the buyer and the item is very rare but not too useful Battle.net is the place to go because trade forum people can always find a desperate buyer and then get big heads about the worth of their item.|||Yeah Lopen, I've seen it going for 1HR on bnet too, and that's what I'm hoping to catch one for now... I actually was in a game where someone was selling it once, but neither of us had any idea what it was worth - I wouldn't pay more than an Ist cause that's what I thought it would be worth, and he was thinking maybe he could get an HR out of it... turns out he was right and I'm regretting my ignorance.

Thanks for the post!|||Well mysticc is right that the value of the HR goes down late in the season too, though. It's probably always worth more than Ist, but probably like Vex tops earlier in the season.

Still though I wouldn't say it's worth 2-4 HR yet. Not if you're a smart buyer.
