Rules are simple: Briefly describe both your most "facepalm" moment in the game, as well as the nicest thing you have done for someone in the game. Then tell me what character job you have that could use the most help.
If I like your descriptions, you may have runewords, annis, high torches, HRs, nice uniques and rares, sets, etc. coming your way. Even those long-timers on these forums are welcome to post, as I have craft items, charms, etc. that you might want. Just don't be greedy...I don't take kindly to people like that. One time in Hardcore, I decided to build a dueling paladin. I load up my inventory with a ton of low level duel charms, have an ethereal rare maul that's really great for its level requirement. My health is over 700 and my damage is like 2000 or something at like level 15 or so with charge. I'm thinking I'm gonna kill everybody... so my first duel, I go up against a Paladin. We both run out, we both charge. And BLAM BLAOW the cry of a Paladin sweet death... man I'm ama-- oh... my deeds of valor... I see.
Anyway long story short I never built a low level dueling character again.
Nicest thing I've done I guess would be giving away random items in questing games. Best item I gave away was a Druid torch if we're keeping score.
If I'm chosen I would like an Assassin thing if possible. I'm trying to make a trapper that either uses Whirlwind + Venom or Rift + Kicking as their non lightning damage output (preferably the latter as I have never tried it before), but you know, whatever!|||Most facepalm thing.... I've done a lot of stupid things before, but the worst was getting distracted with a 88 HC sorceress in Tal Rasha's tomb, teleporting ontop of Kaa and getting raped. To death. In around 1 second.
And the nicest thing I've done? Given free access to my mules to someone to kit him/herself out with whatever they needed to set up a decent char. (And they /didn't/ clean me out either, which is nice).
Were I to be chosen? I'm working on a cold sorc (blizz, not orb) who needs some gear that so I can use her as a MFer before I start any other characters.
Basically a mindless AT runner, who doesn't randomly die when I teleport poorly.|||Facepalm moment now this is an easy one for me. I played D2 when it first came out and then took a long break after a little while. Much to my surprise when I came back I discovered that there were now little stones to put in gear that made the most godly items I could ever imagine. I needed one of these items now called runewords. I started saving up as many runes as possible to trade and was so excited when someone decided to trade me an enigma. Lots of hard earned Puls, Ums, and Ists and other silly short words went in the direction of this young fella nice enough to give me such a sweet armor. Long story short that was the most expensive 3 socketed quilted armor I ever bought. Valuable lesson learned too!
Most nice thing Ive ever done in game. Probably given away my whole rune stash for a 3 socketed quilted armor. Either that or finding 2 Pcombat Charms in one day and not selling them but secretly xfering them to my 6 year olds hammerdin while he was asleep.
Not really sure which character I really want to work on first but I've probably been spending the most time on my javazon and lite sorceress that would both benefit from griffons/infinity etc.|||Probably the moment I felt my dumbest was having someone nice enough to rush me, and then miss clicking and not realizing I didn't pick up the staff in maggot lair. Deffinitely felt like the worlds biggest noob after that. I also remember in my 1.09 days putting honor in a 5s colossus blade (thought I was soooo badass haha) and then accidentally clicking the trade button when showing someone in a trade game!
I feel like my nicest thing section isn't nearly as cool as other peoples! Probably giving items to people who are leveling. I try and share pretty freely with my friends too if Im not going to use items.
I just started playing again after a really long time and I'm currently taking my zealot through hell. My ultimate goal is to be able to do ubers because that wasn't really around the last time I played.|||Face Palm: I found a nice 4os sacred targe with decent resits for a Spirit... I could have sword I was grabbing my Tal Thul Ort Amn but I grabbed 4 Ums instead. ARGH _

The player is usually trying to through a level where they are just getting murdered, I'll help them clear the area and give them some gear and equipment that will help them out.

Facepalm moments I recently just started and had saved up spirit runes so I could make a spirit sword and spirit kite shield. So I spent a whole day looking for a 4 soc kite shield but could only find 3 soc. So finally I ask someone and they told me only monarch can spawn 4 soc. I facepalmed. Also finally started doing pit runs and kept looking for a 4 soc monarch well I ran it for a whole day and didn't get one so I decide to just giveaway all my low level runes. Well I give them away and on my next run I find a 4 soc monarch. And now I had to go find some more spirit runs.
I am trying to make a frenzy barb with an ebotdz and an eth death zerker. Just looking for a 5 soc zerker axe or a coh.|||lets see facepalm moments a couple ladder seasons ago i was so stoked i had this 3os 15 ed dusk shroud and all the runes for my first enigma so i pump them all in there and i dont get it confused i look at the runes and i had put jah ist ber in it and much to my upset thats not the runeword lol.
a more recent one was during my necros hell russh 2 shacos dropped one of diablo and one off baal and i missed both because i died and my inventory was full of potions
last ladder season i gave everything from my hammerdin and necro to a new players along with most of my runes much like your doing
im trying to build a kick sin and need a few things to round out my summoning necro.
anyhow cheers|||facepalm: i was trying to da my nm quests on my sorc, and died in the flayer jungle. i decided to wait on the gidibin and wen to do my forge and izzy- downed izzy, cleared the forge, but couldnt pick up the hammer... i thought it was odd, so i made a new game and cleared it again- couldnt pick it up.. when i checked, my inventory was full of my pots.. 20 min wasted
nice thing: passed on a shako and a string of ears to someone whos account got hacked, then ran em thru normal and nightmare.
want/need i have a pally who needs a HIGH ed weapon (vengeance) and both him and my druid need new armor|||Glad to see you all are paying it forward.
Although I could not accommodate some of your specific needs, I did send each of you some items/runes that I hope will make your gameplay more fun. Hopefully they'll put you on the path to killer characters!
